About Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary:
Tipeshwar wildlife sanctuary is situated in Yavatmal area that is an isolated national park in Maharashtra. The tipeshwar wildlife sanctuary provides every visitor a tremendous opportunity every visitor to travel around a wide range of wildlife species.
This sanctuary is placed in Pandarkawada district of Yavatmal that encloses an area of 148.63 sq.km. Mainly, the sanctuary sprawls amongst the Patanbori and Parwa Ranges of the Pandarkawad Forest Division. This sanctuary is widespread for its exotic hilly-undulating territory and wildlife miscellany. The Tipeshwar wildlife sanctuary found its name from the ‘Goddess Tipai’ that is sited near the Tipeshwar village in the sanctuary area.
This Tipeshwar wildlife sanctuary is quite unknown to several people, therefore, a very less number of people travel to Tipeshwar national park. Many villages are positioned amidst the sanctuary area and local people are depending on the forest for their day-to-day goings-on. As such wildlife reserve is located in a very far-flung district of Maharashtra and it comprises of an opulent wildlife and biodiversity.
Weather:
The best time is to visit Tipeshwar forest is from October to February as there is heavy rainfall from June to September. The temperature in this sanctuary is quite pleasing all through the year.
Fauna:
The park home includes 25 species of mammals, 125 species of birds, 22 species of amphibians and reptiles. Bengal Tigers, leopard cats, sloth bears, Indian leopards, Indian bison, and Indian gigantic squirrels are among of animal species live in this sanctuary.
Visitors Information:
The road goes to Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary is through Pandharkawada. The district headquarters, Yeotmal which is also destined as Yavatmal, is at around 75 km’s from the wildlife sanctuary at Tipeshwar.
Tipeshwar Sanctuary is around35 kilometers from Adilabad Railway station, the adjoining railway station in the proximate Telangana state. Amravati railway station and Badnera railway station are at about 165 kilometers distance from the wildlife sanctuary. Nagpur airport is around 172 km’s distance from Tipeshwar wildlife forest. Mumbai is around 850 km’s distance from Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary.
Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary can be enjoyed individually or can be clubbed with the other nearby National Parks such as Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve.

Morning: 06:00 AM to 10:00AM
Evening: 02:30 PM to 06:00PM
The entry has to be registered on the gate and a prescribed charge has to be paid. There is a limit set for the numbers of jeeps that can enter the park hence the gate entry booking has to be made in advance. A park guide has to accompany the jeep as a regulation and a fee paid for this service. The gypsy charges are different and has to be paid separately.
The tourists are not allowed to get down from the vehicle throughout the safari. A set of rules and regulation exists for safari and the park guide is aware of that. One has to follow his instruction in order to abide with the regulations.
For the gate entry one needs to produce identification documents of the tourists like Passport/Aadhar card etc. For the foreigners the passport in original has to be shown.
